Scarsdale 681 Supporting their Local Royal British Legion
The Legion is a charity that supports the serving and ex-Service community, administering and supporting membership and fundraising activities of the Legion’s branches and clubs throughout Derbyshire. From Glossop in the north to Swadlincote in the south, this consists of 49 Branches and three sub-Branches, seven Clubs and approximately 4,800 members around the County.
The Royal British Legion is the nation’s leading Armed Forces charity providing care and support to all members of the British Armed Forces past and present and their families. It is also the national Custodian of Remembrance and safeguards the Military Covenant between the nation and its Armed Forces. It is best known for the annual Poppy Appeal and its emblem the red poppy.
